Murder of Kelly Anne Tinyes

Robert Golub was convicted of the murder of thirteen-year-old Kelly Anne Tinyes, whom he killed on March 3, 1989 in Valley Stream, New York. The teenager lived five doors away from Golub's home. Golub, at the time of the murder aged 21, an unemployed bodybuilder, strangled, stabbed and mutilated the teenager before stuffing her into a sleeping bag, which he hid in his basement. Tinyes' body was found the following day. On March 3rd 2009, 20 years to the day of her murder, Nassau County DA Kathleen Rice reopened this case, and it remains open, however no new arrests have been made and no further information from the local police has been made available to the public.
