Mount Marzolf

Mount Marzolf (70°28′S 159°41′E / 70.467°S 159.683°E / -70.467; 159.683) is an elongated partially ice-free mountain standing at the head of Svendsen Glacier, 2 nautical miles (3.7 km) west of Mount Gillmor, in the Usarp Mountains. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960-65. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for John E. Marzolf, United States Antarctic Research Program (USARP) biologist at McMurdo Station, 1967-68.
