Mount Mankinen

Mount Mankinen (73°54′S 163°6′E / 73.9°S 163.1°E / -73.9; 163.1) is a mountain (2,910 m) situated 2 nautical miles (3.7 km) northeast of Mount Adamson in the Deep Freeze Range, Victoria Land. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960-64. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Edward A. Mankinen, geologist at McMurdo Station, 1965-66.
