Mount Koob

Mount Koob is the highest peak (1,600 m) in Mayer Crags, Queen Maud Mountains, standing 4 nautical miles (7 km) northwest of Mount Ferguson. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Derry D. Koob, a United States Antarctic Research Program (USARP) biologist at McMurdo Station in the 1964-65 and 1965-66 seasons.
