Mount Katsufrakis

Mount Katsufrakis (82°58′S 161°38′E / 82.967°S 161.633°E / -82.967; 161.633) is a projecting-type mountain on the east side of Markham Plateau in the Queen Elizabeth Range. Mapped by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) from tellurometer surveys and Navy air photos, 1960-62. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for John P. Katsufrakis, United States Antarctic Research Program (USARP) radio scientist at McMurdo Station, 1963–64, and Byrd Station, 1964–65 and 1965-66.
