Mount Kane

Mount Kane (73°58′S 62°59′W / 73.967°S 62.983°W / -73.967; -62.983) is a mountain standing 6 nautical miles (11 km) west-southwest of Squires Peak in the Playfair Mountains, southern Palmer Land. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1961-67. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Alan F. Kane, construction mechanic with the South Pole Station winter party in 1964.
