Mount Heekin (85°3′S 177°16′W / 85.05°S 177.267°W) is a large, ice-free mountain overlooking the north side of the mouth of Baldwin Glacier where the latter enters Shackleton Glacier. Discovered and photographed by U.S. Navy Operation Highjump (1946-47) on the flights of February 16, 1947, and named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Lieutenant (j.g.) Robert P. Heekin, U.S. Navy, navigator of Flight 8.
