- Moulettes
-
The Moulettes are an uncategorisable quintet from the U.K consisting of cello, bassoon, violin, guitar, drums, autoharp and 5-part harmony. Their influences are too many to name, and their style is difficult to pin down, but their music is folky without being quaint, jazzy without being obscure, classical without being elitist and rocky without being generic – and ranges from the danceable and bright to the sinister and progressively darker.[1]
Their debut album was released on Aug 16th 2010 on Balling The Jack and has already been described by MOJO magazine as "Complex and beautiful...intriguing and unique..."
They have recently played gigs with Ted Dwayne, of Mumford & Sons fame.
