Though Valentino is the assumed star today, the actual star of the film is the female lead Dorothy Dalton an actress popular during World War I and whose star was waning when this film was made.[1]

Plot
A young Spaniard is shanghaied(forced to sail on ship) by the Captain of the ship. While on board he meets and falls in love with a female member of the crew who is initially dressed as a man.
