Moonview sanctuary

Moonview Sanctuary [1] is an outpatient psychiatric and addiction treatment facility in Santa Monica, California. Moonview was founded by former Hollywood Agent Laurie Ann Perlman-Levin (who serves as CEO) and Gerald Levin, former CEO and Chairman of Time Warner, (who serves is the Presiding Director). The center caters to business and motion picture industry executives, as well as actors, performers, celebrities, politicians and other public figures. Moonview assures "absolute privacy" for anyone seeking treatment "away from public scrutiny". In order to protect the identity of clients, Moonview clients receive only one-on-one treatment.

The treatment center's literature describes Moonview Sanctuary as a "holistic treatment and optimal performance center" that combines Eastern and Western psychotherapy approaches into a trademarked "multi-modal" treatment approach which is proportedly unique in the industry. The center's staff includes notable Hollywood Psychiatrist Terry V. Eagan, UCLA researcher Stephen Sideroff, PhD, and addiction specialist, Gaetano Vaccaro, PhD. Moonview also utilizes over 60 practitioners from various fields to create individualized treatment teams.

Moonview Sanctuary claims to be the most comprehensive outpatient treatment center in the country, with treatment for a wide variety of psychological and psychiatric disorders, including anxiety, stress, burnout, depression, phobias, transitions, relationship problems, sleep disorders and all forms of addictions (chemical dependency, eating disorders, sexual compulsivity and gambling). Additionally, Moonview provides long term case management and treats health issues such as chronic pain or illness. Moonview also offers specialized optimal performance training for high-achievers in business, sports and the arts. Although Moonview's reputation is apparently well-known by Hollywood insiders, Moonview's client list has never been made public, and no former patients have ever publicly acknowledged receiving treatment there. Moonview has been featured in many magazine articles, including a feature in the February 2007 "A-List" issue of "W" magazine.

Moonview Model In May 2008, the center released a case study of a patient treated using the Moonview Model, a trademarked method utilizing a novel team approach and a combination of mind, body and spirit modalities. In the Moonview Model, a completely customized treatment plan is developed for every client who enters the facility. Clients are given exclusive, one-on-one treatment, and never come into contact with another client at the center. Every Moonview program begins with a comprehensive assessment from multiple therapeutic perspectives to develop a positively-framed treatment plan that is not based solely on DSM-IV categories. Following the assessment 10 therapists are selected from a roster of more than 70 treatment professionals, representing over 25 different modalities, to create a dedicated team for that individual. During the treatment programs, each client receives between three and five individual therapies daily for a period that can vary from one month to one full year.
