Montfort & Co.

Montfort & Co. is a boutique investment bank focused on M&A^{[clarification needed]} and Private Placement. The company was founded by former Heads of M&A groups in Credit Lyonnais following the merger between Credit Lyonnais and Credit Agricole.^[1]

History

The company was founded in 2003 as Financière de Montfort in France and was known as Montfort & Co. in the United States. Development of the firm’s cross-border M&A business led to the harmonization of brands in 2006 as Montfort & Co.^[2]

Operations

Montfort & Co. is headquartered in Paris, France ^[3][4] and has completed deals with its M&A teams in China, North America, Central/Eastern Europe, and Benelux.^[5]

M&A Sector Focus & Activity

Montfort & Co.’s M&A activity is focused on small and mid-cap acquisition targets, having completed transactions in various sectors, including: Consumer, Industrial, EUC, Media, and Technology. Montfort & Co. has also completed MBO and OBO operations.^[6]

Private Placement

Montfort & Co. is active in advising entrepreneurs as non-management capital is transferred from Venture Capital shareholders to Private Equity shareholders. Montfort & Co. also advises private family offices and HNWI in acquiring capital in private companies.^[7]
