Monster Taxi is the alter-ego of Miami music producer and keyboardist Jason Klein. Klein has worked on recordings for several major and indie artists including Mariah Carey, Ricky Martin, Earth Wind & Fire, Jim Brickman and Beny Moré. From 1998-2001, he was partnered with famed Brazilian DJ Grego and got his start working with freestyle singer, Joey Bohn.

Before taking the moniker of Monster Taxi, Klein partnered with another Miami-based producer, Jason Wilkes, and opera singer, Kelly Alloco, as "Magic Sauce." Magic Sauce remixed Franz Schubert's "Ave Maria", creating a buzz amongst DJ's and Billboard Magazine. After Ave Maria, Klein teamed with Manny Perez for the Don Manuel "Figaro" dance opera.

In 2003, Klein produced the BMG album, Beny Moré - The King of Son. The single, "Bonito y Sabrosa", was a Latin radio and video hit, charting #1 on several stations.

He formed Monster Taxi and Toy Robot Records to license his own tracks to major labels. The Monster Taxi tune, "Boogie Makes a Splash", was featured on a dance compilation for Ministry of Sound. He worked with Billboard charting dance singers such as Pepper Mashay (Cosmic Love Juice), Rachel Panay (Repeat Performance and Get Off), and Jennifer Carbonell (Memory Wack).

In 2007, he remade the disco classic, "Get Off", and brought in original members of 1970s funk band Foxy (band) to record it. The tune played throughout the world on dance radio and clubs, even playing during basketball games at Madison Square Garden.

During 2008, Klein took time off from releasing Monster Taxi albums and remixed for several dance artists including Rachel Panay, DJ Russ Harris, and DJ Hot Hands. He also remixed Corona (musical project), who had a dance hit in the 1990s "Rhythm of the Night."

Klein is currently working with Shelina and Pastime Poets and has plans to release a new Monster Taxi single in the summer of 2009.
