Mohammed Tanko Ismaila (born 15 November 1988) is a Ghanaian footballer,[2] who currently plays for Medeama SC.[3]

He played professionally for CD Leganés[4] and from January to June 2011 on loan for CD Teruel.[5] On 9 June 2011 signed an contract for Medeama SC and returned to his native Ghana.[6]

Tanko was a member of the Ghana national under-17 football team and Ghana national under-20 football team. Since 2009 he is member of the Ghana national football team.[7]
