Mohammad ibn Ali Abbasi was the son of Ali ibn Abdullah ibn Abbas, the uncle of Prophet Muhammad, and thus the cousin of the Prophet. He was born in Humaima in Palestine, and was the founder of the Abbasid dynasty in Arabia.[1]
When al-Mukhtar announced the revenge of Imam al-Husayn. He showed himself as the representative of Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyyah, the Promised Mehdi according to him.
After the death of Mohammad ibn Hanifia, Imamate of Kaysanites Shia transferred to his son Abu Hashim, who transferred his Imamate to Mohammad ibn Ali Abbasi, the grandson of the Prophet's uncle ‘Abbas ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib. In this way, the political activities started of Mohammad ibn Ali.[2]
