Amy Otey (born 1961 or 1962)[1], known as Miss Amy®[2] is an American musical fitness entertainer who encourages families to engage in physical activity and to earn the Presidential Active Lifestyle Award (a program of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports) through her musical "Fitness Rock & Roll" concerts.[1][3][4]
Miss Amy performed as part of the White House 2010 Egg Roll event on April 5, 2010 where the theme was based on the Let's Move! initiative of First Lady Michelle Obama.[5] [6] She was named President's Challenge All-American for September 2010 by the President’s Challenge Program.[7] [8]
As a singer/songwriter Miss Amy has released 5 CDs[9] and is a 2011 Grammy Nominated Featured Artist on the "Healthy Food For Thought" CD in the Best Spoken Word For Children category.[10][11]
