Milind Gunaji Occupation actor, writer Years active 1993 - present Website http://www.milindgunaji.in. Milind Gunaji is an actor in Marathi and Hindi theater, TV and film and also writer. Most known for his roles in films like Devdas (2002), Godmother (1999), Virasat (1997), Fareb (1996), Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa (1998) and Dev (2004), both by Govind Nihalani.
He has been the host of travel show, Bhatkanti on Zee Marathi channel about places in Maharashtra and Goa, for several years.[1][2] An avid travel writer himself, in 1998 he released his first travelogue, Majhi Mulukhgiri, a compilation of his weekly columns for the Marathi weekly Lokprabha over period of a year and a half about tourist spots in Maharashtra, the book has since gone into several reprints and he has subsequently published over five travelogues.[3][4] Milind has been Brand Ambassador for forest and Wildlife of Government of Maharashtra

Career
Making his debut with Sai Paranjpye's Papeeha (1993), he followed it up with Govind Nihalani's Droh Kaal (1994). This led to another villainous role in Fareb (1996), which got him his first Filmfare Award nomination for Best Performance in a Negative Role, the second one in the same category came with Priyadarshan's Virasat in 1998.
This half Goan and Maharashtrian writer has also published over five travelogues both in Marathi and English languages, including Mazi Mulukgiri, Bhatkanti, Maza Goa, Chanderi Bhatkanti and Off Beat Tracks in Maharashtra: A travel Guide.[5]
