Mile Kokotov

Mile Kokotov (born 1964 in Štip, Republic of Macedonia)

He funded the first private television in the former Yugoslavia (Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia) in 1989. He is major proponent for development of private electronic media along with only few existing television and radio stations (state owned) during the period of dissolution of former Yugoslavia and the independence of Macedonia. [1]

He Also actively participated in several international conferences on development of media in the Balkans (1992–1999)

In the first free elections (1990) he was elected as a counselor in the City Council of the Municipality of Štip (1990 to 1996). He was an active member of the commission for media and information. He is Member of the Radio Club in Štip from 1977 and actively contributes to the spread of radio engineering, electronics and telecommunications among young people. [2] [3]

Mile Kokotov is one of the founders of the association of private radio and television stations in Macedonia (now APEM). He also founded several Cable TV Networks in Macedonia and Serbia.

Since 1999 he lives and works as a manager in Skopje, the capital of Republic of Macedonia.

As a manager of "Kadis" he was awarded from "B.I.D. Business Initiative Directions" for International Star Award in Gold Category (Paris 2007).[4]
