Not to be confused with Medronate, a bisphosphonate that forms a complex with radioactive technetium to be used as a radiopharmaceutical.
Mildronate is an antischemic agent of a metabolic action[1] (cardioprotector) produced by Grindex in Latvia. The active substance is trimethylhydrazinium propionate dihydrate. [2][3]

Mechanism of action
Mildronate is a fatty acid oxidation inhibitor.[4]
Indications
- Cardiovascular diseases: chronic coronary heart disease, stable angina pectoris,chronic heart failure, functional cardiovascular disturbances,cardiomyopathy.
- Acute and chronic ischemic cerebrovascular disturbances.
- Mildronate is used also in the cases of decreased performance, physical and psychoemotional overload, and during recovery process.[5]
