Perelman was born in Moscow, Russia, and is Jewish.[1][3][4][5]
Olympics
Perelman won a gold medal in the men's team in gymnastics at the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki for the USSR.[1][6][5] He also took fourth place in the men's pommel horse.[7]
