Early years
In 1987 Mike made the decision to escape from Albania in order to further pursue his career in art. It was while working many different jobs in New York City that he found inspiration to become a portrait photographer. The inspiration came from the many visits to friend, Fadil Berisha's studio. It was Mike's extensive background in art and ability to work with models that facilitated the seamless transition from sculptor to photographer.
Career
One of Mike's first jobs as a photographer was to do test shoots for Click Model Management. The immediate, positive reaction to his work spurred him forward to continue reaching out to other modeling agencies in the New York City area.
He has since worked with top models like CariDee English, winner of Season 7 of America's Next Top Model. He has also been featured on Bravo TV as one of the premiere fashion photographers in the New Jersey area where he photographed Jacqueline Laurita and her daughter Ashley.
