MicroSurvey is a land surveying windows desktop software application developed and sold by MicroSurvey Software Inc.. The name MicroSurvey[1] is a registered trademark of MicroSurvey Software Inc.
History
MicroSurvey was invented in Edmonton, Alberta in 1984/85 as a basic DOS application. It was first introduced into the land surveying market in August 1985. In 1986 MicroSurvey Marketing International, Inc. was incorporated as a Canadian Corporation in Edmonton Alberta. In 1992 the company was reorganized into MicroSurvey Software Inc. as a BC Corporation. The company currently creates software for Land Surveyors, Civil Engineers, and Accident reconstructionists with head offices in West Kelowna, BC, Canada.
The product is now used in over 100 countries.[2]
