Career

Gutierrez went 7-3 as an amateur and 2-0 as a professional boxer.[2] In her professional boxing debut against Katarina De La Cruz, Gutierrez claims she experienced the hardest hit in her career.[3]

After her undefeated run as a professional boxer, Michele became "the first female fighter to earn a spot on Pride/UFC Legend Wanderlei Silva’s Wand Fight Team."[4]

In September 2010, "Wand Fight Team member Michele “Diablita” Gutierrez picked up her third straight victory...when she stopped 13-fight veteran Tammie Schneider at Crowbar MMA: “Fall Brawl.” Gutierrez scored with effective strikes that damaged Schneider’s right eye, forcing a halt to the bout in round three."[5]

Humanitarian Activitues

Gutierrez lost her "mom last year to cancer. It wasn't breast cancer, but it was leukemia. And since then I have tried to do as much as I can with cancer research. There's a couple of non-profit organizations here in Vegas. There's one called It A'int Chemo. They have a clothing line. I try to be a part of that. They have all lost people they loved to cancer and I just try to support it as much as I can."[6] As a result of her experience she appeared on a Breast Cancer Awareness picture.[7]

In June 2011, Las Vegas native Gutierrez "officially signed on to be a featured spokesperson for Coalition Fight Music’s “Man Up” Campaign against Human Trafficking....Gutierrez says: 'As a mother of a little girl I couldn’t imagine my daughter being exposed to the evil of human trafficking. As a fighter I’ve always felt inclined to stand up for those who can’t protect themselves. It’s not just going on overseas, it’s happening right here in the land of the free.' Tony Savo (CFM CEO/Producer) says: 'Michele is a dynamic athlete and individual who really cares and has a heart for the kids. Now that she’s one of the first WMMA (Women’s Mixed Martial Arts) fighters to star in a video game, she’s using her new found fame to touch lives and push the sport outside the cage.'"[8]

Appearance in Supremacy MMA

Vice-President Peter Matiss of marketing for 505 Games commented in the press release that bringing “playable female fighters to fans in Supremacy MMA represents the strong stance we’re taking in bringing a totally unique game to market…Michele and Felice fight with the same ferocity and heart as any other fighter, regardless of gender, and we are proud to represent these strong, determined women in our game.”[9]
