Born May 11, 1968, Michel Lavergne is a former junior B hockey player and a former world champion beatboxer. His victories in Stockholm (1989) and New York City (1991) made him the first man to win the world championship more than once. His stellar performance in Berne (1992) was not enough to win an unprecedented third world championship. He has since left the beatboxing scene.
