Career
Lokomotiv Mezdra
In June 2008, he relocated to Bulgaria, signing a contract with Lokomotiv Mezdra.[citation needed] In his first season in Mezdra, he played for reserve squad of the team.[citation needed] Tawiah's first official match was against Slavia Sofia on 15 August 2009. He entered as a substitution in the 55 minute. For Lokomotiv, he earned 10 appearances playing in the A PFG, scored one goal.
Levski Sofia
On 28 January 2010, Tawiah was bought by Levski Sofia. He signed a 2,5-years contract. Tawiah eventually debuted for Levski on 16 May 2010 in Levski's final match for 2009/10 season against OFC Sliven 2000.
International career
On 11 August 2009, Tawiah made his debut for Ghana U-20 in a friendly match against Bulgaria U21.
