Michael Sheringham

Michael Hugh Tempest Sheringham FBA is Marshal Foch Professor of French Literature at the University of Oxford, a post that he has held since 2004. He is also a Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford. Sheringham previously taught at the University of Kent (where he was Professor of French Literature from 1992 to 1995) and at Royal Holloway, University of London (where he was Professor of French from 1995 to 2004).[1] He was appointed a Fellow of the British Academy in 2010.[2]
