Michael Klotz (born 1978 in Rochester, New York) is a violist in the Amernet String Quartet.
Klotz is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music where he was awarded the Performer's Certificate. In 2002 he became one of the few individuals to be awarded a double Master's degree from The Juilliard School in violin and viola.[1]
Klotz made his debut with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra at age 17. He has since performed as soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician on four continents. He serves on the faculty of Florida International University in Miami as Professor of Viola and Chamber Music and lives with his long time love Bea the baying Beagle.[2]
