Michael F. Lappert is an inorganic chemist. Mainly located at the University of Sussex, he has been recognized for contributions to organometallic complexes. He received his PhD in 1951 at the Northern Polytechnic, London. He was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1971.
His areas of research have often included studies on low coordination numbers and metal amido complexes.[1][2]
