Michael Banana

Michael Banana is a Zimbabwean man, son of former Zimbabwe president Canaan Banana, who has been convicted for the murder of love rival, Donald Kalinda on August 18, 1988.[1]

Controversy

Michael is currently serving a 20-year sentence. The murder case has been shrouded in mystery and controversy due to the former president's alleged role in the cover-up, for over a period of 2 decades. The inquest by Kalinda's family having only been recently accepted by the magistrate on January 2011.[2]
