Meusnier Point

Meusnier Point (64°33′S 61°38′W / 64.55°S 61.633°W / -64.55; -61.633) is a point within Charlotte Bay, lying 4 nautical miles (7 km) southeast of Portal Point on the west coast of Graham Land. Charted by the Belgian Antarctic Expedition under Gerlache, 1897-99. Named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) in 1960 for Jean B.M. Meusnier (1754–1793), French military engineer and prophetic designer of the first dirigible airship, in 1785.
