Fazanerija City Stadium (Slovene: Mestni stadion Fazanerija) is a multi-use stadium in Murska Sobota, Slovenia. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of ND Mura 05. The stadium was built in 1983 and has a capacity of 3,716 covered seats. With the standing area included the total capacity of the stadium is around 5,500.

History

The first football pitch on the area was built in 1934 and it was not until 1983 when the first stand was built. Great results and attendances on NK Mura matches were the main factors that the club officials decided to build additional two stands in 1994. The stadium got its present image in 2001 when the stands where covered by a roof. The current capacity of the stadium is 3,716 covered seats. With the standing area included the stadium could hold up to 5,500 people on important club matches.

Football

The stadium is mainly used for football and is the home ground of football club ND Mura 05. Before 2005 the stadium was used by NK Mura, a club that was dissolved in 2004. Until now the stadium hosted two matches of the Slovenia national football team and was part of two Slovenian Cup finals. Recently the stadium is used as one of the main venues in Slovenia for hosting youth tournaments for U-17 and U-19 national teams.[1]
