Mesoptera was a monotypic genus of flowering plants in the Rubiaceae family but is no longer recognized. It was originally described by Joseph Dalton Hooker in 1873. The genus contained only one species, i.e. Mesoptera maingayi. It was sunk into synonymy with Psydrax.
