Melaku Worede (born 1936) is an Ethiopian agronomist. He was educated in the United States and received his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska in 1972. He was later head of the Plant Genetic Resources Center in Addis Ababa. He was awarded the Right Livelihood Award in 1989.[1]
