Meier Valley

Meier Valley (67°8′S 67°24′W / 67.133°S 67.4°W / -67.133; -67.4) is a valley close east of Mount St. Louis on Arrowsmith Peninsula in Graham Land. Mapped from air photos taken by Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition (FIDASE), 1956-57. Named by United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) for Mark F. Meier, American geologist who made the first detailed study of strain all over the surface of a glacier, in 1952.
