Megatouch is the brand name of a worldwide line of casual, coin-operated touchscreen countertop video arcade games developed by Merit Entertainment, which is located in Bristol, Pennsylvania. Merit was recently acquired by AMI Entertainment.

Megatouch games come in a variety of different cabinets and styles. Currently available models as of 2011 include the Megatouch Aurora, Megatouch Aurora GT, Megatouch Aurora WS, Megatouch Elite Edge, Megatouch Entertainer, Megatouch RX and the Megatouch Wallette, with a new handheld portable entertainment model just released called the "Megatouch Firefly" [1].

Current Megatouch machines generally contain over 150 games in 5 different categories [2](Puzzles, Strategy, Action, Cards, and Quiz and Word), with such widely-known titles as Photo Hunt, Trivia Whiz, and Tri-Towers; most machines also come with a sixth category, "adult-themed" games, which show semi-nude pictures of women and men in games that use pictures, and can be permanently shut off if required using the game control menu. Games can be updated yearly via a software update, with a handful of new games added to each release; the most recent software release is the Megatouch 2011 update. Games usually cost 25 to 50 cents per play, and generally last around 3 minutes. Megatouch systems are available in over 19 different languages, and are found predominantly in bars, restaurants and nightclubs in over 27 countries worldwide.

While the Megatouch systems seen in public facilities can be purchased online and used at home in their "free-play' mode, there is also a line of "stripped down" Megatouch systems made for the home market called the "Megatouch Gametime".[3] Additionally, a Megatouch-derived system designed for use in assisted living centers, retirement communities and edlerly home care called the "Megatouch MindSpark" can be used to stimulate brain activity using a gaming interface.[4] Most recently, 3 Megatouch games—Lucky 11's, Monkey Bash, and Photo Hunt—have been released as apps specifically designed for the iPhone and iPod Touch.[5]
