Megan Boyle

Megan Boyle (born 1985) is an American short story writer, essayist, and poet.

Personal

She is married to NYC-author Tao Lin. The marriage was highly-publicized on the internet, receiving coverage from Thought Catalog,^[1] The Alt Report,^[2] Guest of a Guest,^[3] L Magazine.^[4] The New York Observer's senior editor Christian Lorentzen wrote: "Not only do they exhibit great affection for each other in social situations, they seem to have a highly charged and pleasurable erotic life. This seems like a formula for lasting love."^[5]

Publications

Boyle's debut poetry-collection, selected unpublished blog posts of a mexican panda express employee, is forthcoming from Muumuu House November 15, 2011. Michelle Tea said of it: "This book is dark and electric with all the immediate, physical anxiety of being female and, beyond that, human. It's a totally fascinating downward spiral through sex and television and pills and blogging and love and alcohol, strangers and friends and despair, all knit together with tender emotional realness."

Boyle's short stories, poems, and essays have been published in Vice,^[6] Thought Catalog,^[7] Muumuu House,^[8] 3:AM Magazine,^[9] Pear Noir!,^[10] and Pop Serial.^[11]
