Medyk Konin was founded in 1985 and after its promotion to the top league Ekstraliga Kobiet always has taken one of the front places. The best result was the 2nd place in 2002/03, 2003/04, 2005/06 and 2007/08. In 2007/08 the team only drew the penultimate game against KS AZS Wrocław and lost the chance of their first title. The same fate happened again in 2010/11 when the lost on the last matchday to Unia Racibórz, whom the would have overtaken for the title with a win.[1]
The team has won the Polish Cup in 2004/05, 2005/06 and 2007/08.
