McKenzie Nunatak

McKenzie Nunatak (71°14′S 163°25′E / 71.233°S 163.417°E / -71.233; 163.417) is a very prominent nunatak (1,620 m) which rises above the ice between McLin and Graveson Glaciers, in the Bowers Mountains. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from ground surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960-62. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Garry D. McKenzie, glaciologist, who participated in the study of Meserve Glacier in 1966-67.
