Maurice Esposito

'Maurice Esposĺto' is a Dominican amateur boxer. Born January 30, 1982 in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Arrived to the United States with his mother and sisters and settled in Pennsylvania where Esposito began an amateur boxing career. In year 2000 he represented his native Dominican Republic in the Latin American Royal Gloves Competition, fighting at 135 Lbs. Esposito placed 1st, earning a gold metal. In 2001 and 2002 Esposito competed in the United States Golden Gloves at 140 Lbs and finished a silver medalist. In 2003 he was a semi-finalist in the Olympic trails for The United States Olympic boxing team at 145 Lbs that would be held in Athens, Greece the following year. Esposito suffered a severe cut above the left eye which resulted in a disqualification. He holds a amateur boxing record of; 67 wins, 7 defeats (1 by disqualification). Esposito now resides in Phoenix, Arizona.
