Jameh Mosque (Persian: مسجد جامع - Congregational Mosque ; also spelled, Jame, Jamé, or Jomeh Mosque) is a term used in Iran to refer to the grand mosque within a city, and is usually the place of gathering for ′Eid Prayers and Friday prayers. Jāmeh (جامع) stems from the root word jám (جمع) meaning "gathering", and should not be confused with Jom'ah (جمعه) meaning "Friday".
