Masjid Madeena

Masjid Madeena is one of the Malayalam language Masjids (Mosques) in Sultan Bathery, in the Wayanad district of India's state of Kerala. It is managed by Islamic Mission Trust Sultan Bathery. It opened for prayer on June 1987. The first chairman of the trust was Jb.N. Aboobakker haji.

Social service

The Masjid Madeena committee emphasizes that service to human beings is complementary to and the extension of the worship of the Lord of the universe.It spread all over the cities and villages of the mahallu area dutifully engage in social service activities rendering financial assistance to the deprived classes of the society. They help them to meet their essential needs for medical treatment, children's education, marriage of dependents, housing, ensuring regular income through small and medium range business enterprises etc. During natural disasters and calamities, systematic relief and rehabilitation works are undertaken by a purposely organized and trained group of volunteers named Ideal Relief Wing (IRW).[1]

Educational Sector

Another area where Masjid Madeena committee has been active for the past decades is the educational sector. More than 800 students studiying in their schools from the nursery to higher secondary levels primary and secondary madrasas, impart education in both Islamic studies and modern disciplines
