Maruthoor

Maruthoor Family is one of the 8 branches of 'Naranathu Valyathottathil Kudumbayogam'. This aristocratic Keralite Christian family claims its origin from one of the four Brahmin families converted into Christianity by St. Thomas in the 1st century AD. Though, through ages members of this family had migrated to different parts of Kerala, the main area of settlement is still found in and around Mallappally, Keezhvayipoor, Paduthodu and Valakuzhy.
