Martin Milec (born 20 September 1991 in Maribor) is a Slovenian football midfielder, who currently plays for Slovenian 1.SNL club Maribor.

Club career

He began his football career at the age of six when his father first took him on a traning at a local football club.^[2] Due to his low size he emphasized his traning on tehnical elements and is known for his dribbling, agility and passing skills.^[1] Although primarily a midfielder he can also play as a defender (right-back). In July 2010 he signed a four year contract with 1.SNL club NK Maribor.^[1]

International career

Throughout his career he has been a member of Slovenia national football team youth selections and represented Slovenia U–19 on a 2009 UEFA U–19 Championship.^[1][2] He is the current member of Slovenia U–21.^[3]

Personal life

A native of Rače, Slovenia, he is a lifelong fan of NK Maribor, a club he currently plays for, and regularly attended Maribor's matches as a child.^[4]
