Martial was an Irish Thoroughbred racehorse best known for winning the 1960 British Classic, the 2,000 Guineas Stakes. He was out of the mare Discipliner and sired by the 1952 Kentucky Derby winner, Hill Gail. His damsire Court Martial won the 1945 2,000 Guineas Stakes and was twice the Leading sire in Great Britain & Ireland

Martial was retired to stud in 1961 and eventually exported to Argentina. His offspring met with limited success in racing.
