Marret Glacier

Marret Glacier (66°26′S 137°44′E / 66.433°S 137.733°E / -66.433; 137.733) is a channel glacier about 4 nautical miles (7 km) wide and 4 nautical miles (7 km) long, flowing northeast from the continental ice to the coast close east of Cape Robert. Delineated from aerial photos taken by U.S. Navy Operation Highjump, 1946-47, and named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Mario Marret, leader of the French Antarctic Expedition, 1952-53, whose party extended reconnaissance of the coastal features to the west side of Victor Bay.
