Career
Allen has hosted numerous television shows including "Good Day Sacramento" on CW31, "Mark At The Movies" on the Reelz Channel, "Scratch" with Lisa Ling and Short Attention Span Theater on Comedy Central. He got his broadcasting start as a radio personality, notably with KSFM FM-102 in the late 1980s, where he performed several notable, annual stunts (such as living atop a billboard, and on a man-made island in the Sacramento River, for 30 days each) in order to raise money and awareness for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Allen has also won three Emmy awards.[1]
