- Mark Mitchell (reporter)

Mark Mitchell was once the assistant managing editor of CJR Daily, a web outlet of the Columbia Journalism Review.
His tenure there was in some respects controversial. For example, in this forum he backed up assistant editor Bree Nordenson in the claim that Paul Krugman was suppressing the fact that median income had declined during the administration of President George W. Bush. Krugman was not otherwise thought to be an apologist for the Bush administration.
Economist Brad DeLong referred to Mitchell and Nordenson as members of a "circular firing squad of flying journalistic attack monkeys."[1].
More recently, Mitchell has reported for the website Deep Capture on what Deep Capture alleges is the widespread pattern of corruption associated especially with certain short sellers and inside traders.[2].
