In particular, he is known for his contributions to the study of p-adic representations and p-adic cohomology.
Born in Lithuania and raised in Australia, he received his B.Sc. from Monash University in 1991. He received his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1998 under the direction of Nick Katz. He has been professor of mathematics at Harvard University since 2009, after six years at the University of Chicago.[1] From 1998 to 2003, he was at the University of Münster.
