After a few years of heavy touring; including playing V Festival and Tokyo's Summer Sonic Festival, as well as providing support for notable artists such as Paul Weller and The Enemy; Frith disbanded the group in late 2009. During the band's time together they gained a following in both the north of England and Japan. They also released their debut album in Japan in 2008.
Mark has picked up great plaudits for his Songwriting. In 2008 Paul Weller called him a 'Classic British Songwriter' and famous record Producer John Leckie declared him 'the best Songwriter I've worked with in 10 years'
In June 2010, Frith announced that he had been working on new material since The Troubadours' split, with his new band, The Captive Hearts. Their debut single entitled "Hummingbird" was released in September 2010. The Captive Hearts new single 'Believin' Love' is due for release on 11 July 2011
To close friends and colleagues Mark is known as 'The Human Jukebox' for his ability to play a song after hearing it sometimes only once.
