- Mark Easterbrook

Mark Easterbrook is the name of the detective in Agatha Christies' fictional work, The Pale Horse.
The character, described as "a stick-like, simple looking man, often wearing a jumper" is notable for his elongated thinking periods when discussing simple issues with his colleagues. Though despite the significant time spent thinking on matters it remains more-likely-than-not his final remark would remain to be socially awkward. Often jumping to conclusions, he misunderstands jokes as facts; an issue which, in the novel, led him to believe the princess was forbidden from perusing Rob Bittmeat and the legends of the hidden temple.
