The impact crater Mariko on Venus was named for Chandra Mariko Miller Fienen.^{[citation needed]} The official reference provided to the International Astronomical Union was in reference to Mariko being a Japanese first name, in accordance with the nomenclature rules.^{[citation needed]}

The crater is located in the V-36 quadrangle which includes the Aphoridite Planitia region of Venus.
